ROMAN, Audrey Jean - Born April 24, 1937, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Died peacefully, at her home in her beloved city of Toronto, on September 14, 2023.
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Loved and respected mother to Brian (Lea), Roy (Katrina), Steven (Alice).
Grandmother to Chadd (Julia), Chelsea (Umberto) (their mother, Claudia), David (Alex), and Jessica (their mother, Carol). Great-grandmother to William Alan Reynolds Roman.
Audrey asked us to mention with love and appreciation, some of her family, all of whom have always been special to her: her sister, our Auntie Shirley; and her niece/our cousin, Carol, and all of her family; all our cousins and family from Niagara Falls; our Auntie Celia, and all of her family; our Peterborough cousins; her niece, our cousin, Jackie Wilkinson, and all of her family, our cousins; Audrey's lifelong friend, Margaret, and all of her family.
Audrey was grateful for the genuine and personal care she received all of her life from the doctors and their staff that she called her own, and from the entire medical and care team in the last months of her life.
She always referred to the staff, nurses and doctors as angels delivering miracles. Audrey's life was well lived, she knew what was important to her and focused solely on that. Her family was her life, and she was a huge success.
We will miss her stories, her laughter, Red Bag Nights, and all of the great gatherings we had in her home.
It has been an honour for us, an absolute honour, and you will always be in our hearts. Her children and grandchildren will join together to bid her one more "thanks for everything; until we meet again." .
