Passed away peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Oak Ridges Hospice in her 91st year. Joanne was a kind, gentle soul who will be missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife of the late Robert Franklin Boyce of Oshawa for 61 years. Loving mother of Michael (Terri) and David (Susan). Sadly missed by grandchildren Brendan, Cailyn, Grace and Gavin.

Dear sister of Susan Jackman (Shane). Predeceased by her parents Cubby and Eileen Jackman and her brother Jerry Jackman. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Joanne will be fondly remembered by her coffee ladies, ‘Whale Club’, as well as many longtime friends from the cottage.

Joanne loved her time spent at the family cottage on Steenburg Lake as well as at many hockey arenas watching all her boys. She spent over 25 years working and volunteering at Oshawa General Hospital.

Friends may call at the Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 12:30–2:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at 2:30 p.m., followed by interment at Mount Lawn Cemetery and a Celebration of Life in the lounge from 4–7 p.m.

As an expression of remembrance, donations to Oak Ridges Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated.
