Saint Declan's Parish was established in 1872 by Very Rev. Canon Declan F. Foley and was named after his Name Saint. The Church was completed in 1889 and the cemetery opened in 1898 when burials in marked and unmarked graves along the nearby Clyde River were re-interred here. The Church adjoining the Cemetery is now a Mission of in nearby Almonte and services are held monthly.
