Description The Porcupine Camp has always embraced having a funeral home in the area, dating back to before the 1911 fire. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Thomas were the predecessors to Peter Stinson when the funeral home was located at 136 Commercial Avenue. Stinson Funeral Home was later relocated to its present location at 100 Bruce Avenue. The funeral home is currently a second generation family owned and operated business that proudly supports the Porcupine and surrounding areas through various channels. This includes the creation of The Community Involvement Bursary which is awarded annually.
Throughout the past 100 years, during the economical ups and downs the funeral home has always been a constant. This is because of the strong support shown by our community.
