Poidevin CliffPOIDEVIN, Clifford Orval - On December 18, 2020 Clifford went peacefully to be with his Saviour and Lord, with Murriel, his dear wife of 68 years, by his side.

Clifford, was born in Kildonan, MB, June 27, 1927, the son of Frederick and Catherine (Wibley) and was the last remaining sibling
to Lloyd, Hilton, Millicent (Smith), Beth (Chapman), Josephine (Rainey) and Earl.

Cliff met Murriel (Bailey) in Niagara Falls, Ontario. They married in 1952 and settled in Hamilton where he was employed by Canadian Westinghouse for 15 years.

They were blessed with three sons, Paul (Eunice), Bruce (Marilyn) and Murray (Grace).

He delighted in each of his 9 grandchildren: David, Rebekah (Jonathan Towse), Stephen, John (Krista), Andrew (Lydia), Tiffany, Nathanael, Naomi, Joel; and 8 great grandchildren; Robbie, Elizabeth, Lochlan, Afton, Titus, Moriah, Silas, and Evelyn.

We are thankful for the life he lived and the example he was to so many.

Clifford graduated in 1949 from the University of Manitoba with an B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering. Later he completed a Master of Engineering (Nuclear) at the University of Toronto. While with AECL on loan from Ontario Hydro, he designed and commissioned the thermal transfer system for the reactors at the Pickering Nuclear Station.

As a young Sunday School boy, Cliff trusted Jesus Christ as his Saviour, then during the years that followed was involved with the activities of the Kensington Avenue, West Toronto, Applewood Hills, Chapman Valley and Unionville Gospel Halls. He used his life serving his Lord: a Sunday School teacher and Superintendent, a church elder, a participant in Bible Studies including his workplace. In addition, gospel outreach and missions were of particular interest; Cliff and Murriel extended hospitality to many missionaries visiting the Toronto area.

Cliff enjoyed his family and will be missed. We are consoled knowing he is rejoicing in his Saviour’s presence.

Our thanks to Dr. Gorman, Dr. Trinkas, and the Palliative care team lead by Dr Patterson and Gulla for their expert, loving homecare extended to our father during his final days with us. Our gratitude to the administration of Bethany Courts; especially to Ruth Miller
who in loving care went beyond the call of duty.

In lieu of flowers donations could be made to Bethany Lodge (bethanylodge.org/donate), MSC Canada (msccanada.org) or Gospel Trust Canada (gospeltrust.ca).

A private family funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., January 4, 2021, that will be live-streamed for the benefit of all. Please place the following link into your browser: https://video.ibm.com/channel/chapelridgefh2.
