COOPER, Sidney (Sid) Harold -
August 22, 1945 – August 16, 2024
With sadness we announce the passing of Sid Cooper, six days before his 79th birthday.
As he wished, he died at home, sleeping away peacefully, after many years of living with end stage kidney disease.
Loving husband for 53 years of Cathy (nee Chandler). Proud and loving father of Andrew (Terri), of Brampton ON, and Matthew (Robyn) of Sechelt BC. Beloved Pops of his adored grandgirls, Leah and Ella.
Devoted brother of Ted (Donna), Oakville ON; and Barbara (David) Vollick, Burlington ON. Caring brother-in-law of Charlotte Cooper, Oakville ON, and Christine Cooper, Burlington ON. Loved brother-in-law of the Chandler family. Special Uncle to his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Cliff and Ruth (nee Mathias) Cooper; and his older brothers, Bob and Neil Cooper. Long time employee of Bell Canada, GTA, and upon retirement, The Canadian Tire Store, Clarkson Crossing, Mississauga.
A man of deep faith; Sid loved life, family, friendships, adventures, traveling, camping, and relating stories. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice are appreciated.
A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, September 7th, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Thomas 'a Becket Anglican Church, 3535 South Common Crt., Mississauga. Visitation one hour prior to service, reception to follow
