Constance Margaret Crawford

December 2, 1943 – March 9, 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of C. Margaret Crawford (née Smithson), more affectionately known as Maggie, announces her passing on March 9, 2025, at the age of 81.

Maggie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alexander Crawford. She was the loving mother to Tracy (Scott) and Robert, as well as a devoted stepmother to Sandy and Margaret (Steve). She was a cherished grandmother to Emily, Johnathan, Allison, Shye-Anne, Hannah, Brody, Kaitlyn, Mitchell, Anaya, and Isla, and a proud great-grandmother to Noretta and Austa. Maggie was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her third great-grandchild from the Marks family in July.

A dedicated member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Whitby Chapter #248, Maggie was well known for her passion for golf, karaoke, and cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs. However, nothing brought her greater joy than supporting her grandchildren in their sports. A social butterfly and a true dog lover, Maggie’s warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street, Bowmanville, on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the chapel. A celebration of life will follow at the Bowmanville Legion, 109 King Street East, Bowmanville.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Humane Society.
