SIMPSON, Sandra Darlene (nee Leatherdale) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Darlene Simpson on Christmas morning, December 25, 2020, due to complications from a stroke.
Darlene was born October 27, 1942. She became a registered nurse and worked most of her career at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Guelph until she retired.
Darlene is survived by her son Todd and his wife Brandi, her daughter Laurie and her husband Paul, her grandson Timothy, as well as her chosen family members Carole and Joe Brooks, and Leigh Underwood.
A very special thank you to the ICU staff at Guelph General Hospital for their compassionate care while Darlene was a patient.
A Private family graveside service will be held on January 4, 2021 at MOUNT LAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS, Whitby.
Memorial Donations may be made to The Cancer Society or The Heart & Stroke Foundation.
