CONFORTI, David Matthew - "Every moment matters"
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our greatly cherished son and brother David Conforti.
He died on Wednesday, August 30, 2017.
His loving parents Louise Greco-Conforti and Sergio Conforti and his dear brother Steven Conforti and his large extended family invite you to join them in a celebration of a rich life lived.
Though he died at the young age of 27, he lived a deeply meaningful life.
David had autism and was proud to be connected to this strong community. He was a skip at the Unionville Sweep Curling Club; he was a project consultant with the University of Toronto research team called Voices of Youth and he was a member of Hand Over Hand; he was an advocate and public speaker at various organizations including in Banff at the National Conference for the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and Unionville community events; he participated in Special Olympics in baseball and curling; he volunteered at countless organizations including his church, Markham Little Theatre, Hockey Helps the Homeless, Habitat for Humanity and others.
David loved music, dance, movies, yoga, cooking, working out, theatre, travel, sports, and life. Everyone who met him, loved him. He was a teacher, a mentor, and a friend to all who knew him. David changed the world with his smile.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 5th at 2 pm to 5 pm and 6 pm to 9 pm at Highland Funeral Home, Markham. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Justin Martyr Parish, 3898 Highway No. 7, East, Unionville, on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Private Family Interment.
