MILLAR, Doreen (nee Bassant) - (1934 - 2020) - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Doreen Millar (nee Bassant) peacefully at home on December 27, 2020.
Loving wife of 59 years to the late Ronald Millar.
Cherished mother to Patti Worboys (Richard), Gary Millar (Loreto), and Andrew Millar (Cyndi), and loving mother-in-law to John Craig. She was predeceased by her daughter, Helen.
Proud Grandmother to Sean (Melissa), Lee (Kim), Courtney, Danyelle, Adam (Cassandra), Kyle (Amanda), Brittney (Landon), Andre and Mak. Adored “Gramom” to 18 great-grandchildren.
Doreen will be especially missed by her sister Irene, sister-in-law Helen and husband Bill, as well as her nephew Jim and his wife Pauline who always had a open door for her and a seat at her lucky slot machine! She will be sadly missed by her large extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will think of her often.
She touched a lot of people including the Kelly Clan who always thought of her as one of the family. She will be missed. We will be forever thankful that Patti was there to provide the loving care around the clock. She was Mom’s rock.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted with Ridley funeral home, Etobicoke.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dorothy Ley Hospice in memory of Doreen would be greatly appreciated by the family.
