ACKHURST, Douglas (Gordon)   -   Peacefully at home, on June 24, 2022, age 77, with his family at his side, after a valiant seven year battle with metastatic melanoma.

Survived by his adored wife and soulmate of 55 years, Muriel.

Sadly missed by his daughter, Jennifer (Bill Maynard) and son, Kevin (Trish McMahon).

The lights of his life were his amazing grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Charlie and Maggie Maynard, Jack and Max McMahon Ackhurst.

They will always remember his zest for life and fun-loving attitude.

He was a dynamic personality, a consummate broadcast manager and a great friend to all who knew him.

He will be truly missed.

Funeral arrangements through Chapel Ridge in Markham on Thursday, July 7th, at 2 p.m.
