VIREY, Dr. Maselle G. - 1953 - 2022
God called Maselle peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the age of 68, after a private battle with cancer.
He will be forever loved and missed by his devoted wife, Miguelita, beloved father of Mikelle and Gliselle (Thomas), proud Lolo of Melrose and Malcolm.
Maselle finished his Bachelor of Science, majoring in Zoology in 1974 and Doctor of Medicine in 1978, both at the University of the Philippines.
He immigrated to Canada on June 9, 1980 to do a four-year residency program in Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa.
Proud of all his accomplishments – Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada; Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology; Diplomate of the American Board of Disability Analysts; Lecturer at the University of Toronto School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry; and Courtesy Consultant Psychiatrist at the Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga.
He held an active practice in General Psychiatry for 37 years.
Maselle and Miguelita enjoyed ballroom dancing together, swimming, and choral singing.
Visitation: July 6-7, 2022 at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, Oakville, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service: Friday, July 8, 2022, at 1 p.m. with burial to immediately follow.
