Rahme GordonRAHME, Gordon  - Passed away peacefully on Thursday December 31st, 2020 at Lakeridge Health Whitby, in his 92nd year.

Gordon will be greatly missed by his loving wife Irene (nee Dyl) of 32 years.

Loving Father of Gregory (Kimberly), Michael (Lise), Elizabeth (Morris), and Timothy (Diana). 

Proud Grandfather of 12 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

CORKUM, Kathleen - Passed away with her family by her side after a two-year battle with ALS, on December 31st, 2020 in her 60th year.

Reunited with her loving husband James.

DUNN, James (Jim) Edward - Passed away peacefully on January 1, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.  

Predeceased by his parents Mervin Dunn and Glennis Dunn.

Brother to Milton Pummell, (Valerie) Susie Balmer, Colleen Dunn-Ward (Chris) and Robert Dunn.

Loving Father to Kelly Braun (Rodney) and Jeffery Dunn.

FOSTER, Elma - Peacefully passed into her Lord’s loving arms on the morning of January 1st, 2021 at Port Perry Place Long Term Care home in Ontario. She was in her 89th year.

Elma was born to Ada and Percy Cumming in 1932, in South Gower, Ontario and was raised on the family farm in the Ottawa Valley.


Devoted and beloved wife of the late Rev. Dr. Charles Foster, loving mother of Rob (Bev), Paul (Shannon), Janine (Bryan), Judy (Stephen) and Pierre (Nilza).

GIBSON, Irvin  - Peacefully, on Friday, January 1, 2021 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 85.

Anderson VioletANDERSON, Violet “Lorraine” (nee Thornington) - (March 25, 1930December 30, 202)

On Wednesday, December 30th, 2020, Violet “Lorraine” Anderson, with no family by her side, she did not pass peacefully at 90 years of age, but rather endured five weeks of severe ravages of the Covid-19 virus at Sunnycrest Nursing Home! 

What a fighter she was, trying her best to not give up, rallying multiple times! 

We were blessed to have many caring members of the health care team including Red Cross volunteers who were by her side and comforted her in her time of need. 

We know that her Lord and Saviour welcomed her with open arms. 


Devich DannyDEVICH, Danny Mladen – (May 6, 1933 – December 30, 2020)

Danny was born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. He lived through the horrors of an impoverished nation during the Second World War.

He was a star soccer player for many years, including playing for the national championship for his country.

In 1957 he came to Canada and landed in Montreal. From there he moved to Toronto, then Hamilton, and on to Sudbury. He held several jobs including working in the mines, driving transport trucks and also as a cook.

In Sudbury he had a son named Branko (Bobby). He met Viola when he went into the convenience store she owned. Viola was a widow with 3 children Bernard, Carol, and Brian.

Ziccarelli AdamoZICCARELLI, Adamo - (June 23, 1933 – December 30, 2020)

Passed away peacefully at his residence, with his family by his side on Wednesday December 30th, 2020 at 87 years of age.

Beloved husband of 61 years of Cristina Ziccarelli.

Loving and devoted Papa of Lina Ziccarelli, Antonio Ziccarelli and the late Isabella Ziccarelli.

Cherished Nonno of Eduardo and Andreas Belmonte.

Loving son of the late Agostino Ziccarelli and the late Teresina Bruni.


MacKinnon MichaelMACKINNON, Michael Joseph - (February 17th, 1945 - December 30th, 2020) 

Retiree Lasco Steel – 30+ years service.

Suddenly at his home in Oshawa on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the age of 75.

Michael, beloved husband of Margaret MacKinnon (nee: MacDonald).

Much loved dad of Mary-Ann Fortier (John), step-dad of David Webster (Angela) and Jennifer Caruk (Shawn).

Proud Papa/Grandpa of Blaine, Lauren, Kendra, Bryce and Great Papa of Caiden.

FYFE, Matthew B. - (1936 - 2020) - Passed away peacefully on December 30, 2020, at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital.

Matthew was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1936 and met the love of his life Sheila in 1956.

The couple came to Canada in 1958. They had a wonderful 61 years of marriage together and he will be sincerely missed by his wife Sheila and his children Steven (Jennifer), Carolyn (Glenn) and predeceased by his son Scott.

Hart AnnaHART, Anna Mary  - Passed away on Wednesday, December 30th, 2020 at Craiglee Nursing Home, after a long struggle with dementia, at the age of 62.

She was born in Oshawa and adopted by Eugenia and Stanley Bednarski and raised as their own child.

Anna met and fell in love with Arnold Hart while working at General Motors Canada and they wed on December 31st, 1977.

Anna was not only a wife, but also a mother of three children: Crystal, Sarah and Julie and grandmother of Mckayla, Ashton, Olivia, Hunter, Sebastian, Lacey, and Emma.

MANEVSKI, Zivko  - It is with great sadness that the family of Zivko Manevski announces his passing on Thursday December 31, 2020, at the age of 74.

Zivko will be lovingly remembered by his wife Vera, his son Borce and daughter Vickey, as well as son in law Vlado, granddaughter Chloe and grandson Jovan.

Lisecky BobLISECKY, Bogdan "Bob" - (September 27, 1949 – December 29, 2020)  

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of Bogdan (Bob) Lisecky.

Bob passed away from a heart attack at Lakeridge heath hospital in Oshawa, on December 29th, 2020 in his 71st year.

Bob was born on the 27th of September, 1949 just outside Sao Paulo, Brazil.

His father, Gregory Lisecky (Dido) was from Ukraine, his mother Eufrosina Kurov (Baba) from Estonia, and the family moved from Ukraine to Germany where they had their daughter Olena before moving to Brazil to start a new life adventure.

LAMBERT, Joseph William - (November 5, 1950 - December 29, 2020)

Died suddenly from a pulmonary embolism.

Greatly missed by his wife Karen; his children Dennis, Brandon (Lindsey), Erin, and Morgan (Ian); his grandchildren Emma and Jake Farquharson and Theodore and Zachary Lambert; his brother William (Elsa) and nephews Alexander and Adrian; his brother-in-law Walter Klinger.

LUCAS, Jack  - (December 12, 1921 – December 29, 2020)

Born in Lancashire, England, WWII veteran, storyteller, historian, avid walker, public transit rider, high school teacher and guidance counsellor, died in his 100th year in Pickering, Ontario.

We have often listened with rapt attention to Jack’s stories of his days gone by and his recounting of our own childhoods. He remembered more than we did.

HUMPHRIES, Rolf - On December 29, 2020, our brother, uncle, cousin, nephew Rolf took his last breath, closed his eyes for the last time, and left his earthly home to be with his mum and dad and oma. 

Rolf was an amazing person. He just shone love. Wherever he went.

Passed away on Monday, December 28th, 2020 at the age of 86.

Loving husband of the late Joanne (Johnson) Hannam (2017). 

Dear father of Henry and his wife Patty, Greg and his wife Darlene and Dan and his wife Holly. 

Grandfather of Sarah, Curtie, Katelyn, Lowell, Lindsay, Christine, Brett, Trevor, Isaac and Simon. Great-Grandfather of Jack, Parker, Kira, Isaac, Emerson, Anderson, Levi and Maverick. 

Predeceased by his sisters Fern and Jean and his brother Ralph. 

BLAIR, Marilyn - After a courageous battle with cancer, Marilyn passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 surrounded by family at the age of 61.

Loving wife of Robert for 37 years.

PROUSE, Wesley Lloyd   - May 27th, 1947 - December 28th, 2020

Passed away at Newmarket on Monday December 28th, 2020 at the age of 73.

KADAWATHAGE, Michael - (1933 - 2020)

Michael Kadawathage, former employee of Petroleum Corporation, Kolonnawa, Sri Lanka, passed away at the age of 87 years in Brampton, Ontario, Canada on December 28, 2020. 

WOUDSTRA, Janna  -  Our beloved mother passed from this life into eternal life with her Lord and Saviour on Monday December 28, 2020 at the age of 90 years. 

Janna Woudstra was born on May 24th, 1930 in Groningen, The Netherlands to parents Eeuwe and Ienje Boersema.  She has one sister, Clara Wubbolt. 

Janna was married to her beloved husband Herman Woudstra until his death in 1993.  They were wed for 42 years.
