MYERS, Charles Archibald  - It is with great sadness that the family of Charles Myers, better known as Chuck, announces his passing on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the age of 82.

He passed away peacefully at Lakeview Manor in Beaverton.

Chuck will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Marg and his children, Pam (Greg), and Craig (Diane). Chuck will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren, Richard, Geoffrey, Carly and Heather, his sister Bev, and other extended family and dear friends.

A long time resident of the Uxbridge area, Chuck was a high school shop teacher in Uxbridge for 32 years and will be remembered by many of his students.  He was also a Captain in the local cadet Corp for many years. He was very active in the community, serving as a member of the Durham Heritage Railway for a number of years.

He served on town council and was instrumental in the development of Uxpool. Chuck was also an avid rock hound, woodworker and beekeeper.

Many thanks for the caring support from the PSWs and nurses from St. Elizabeth, Lakeview Manor, and Kerina Murray, as well as from the supportive neighbours and friends who were of great assistance and support during Chuck’s illness.

A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held later in September.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Chuck’s memory can be made to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital or charity of your choice.
