MERKLEY, Margaret "Diane" (nee Fergus) - Aged 71, died peacefully on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at her home with her daughter by her side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Diane was born November 30, 1946 in Pictou, Nova Scotia, the daughter of Mildred and Arthur Fergus.
Diane was a loving, kind, strong and giving woman.
Family was everything to her.
Diane enjoyed making memories with her daughter and grandchildren as well as spending time with her sisters, nieces and nephews.
Diane will now rest in peace with her parents, her brother David Fergus, and her life long partner, Gerry Fruhner. Diane is survived by her daughter, Veronica Fruhner (Trevor Tysick), her grandchildren Tristan, Fletcher, Kody and Madison, and her sisters, Linda Fergus and Cheryl Purko.
She also leaves behind a number of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
There will be a private graveside ceremony for immediate family at MOUNT LAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in Diane's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
