GIGUERE, Shawn Roger Alfred - At age 65, succumbed to cancer at Princess Margaret Hospital on Sunday, August 19th, 2018 in Toronto.
He was born June 24th, 1953 to John and Shirley (Auclair) Giguere in Montreal, Quebec.
On May 16th, 1981 he married Dawn Marie (Donna) Le Mercier DuQuesnay in Oshawa, Ontario.
Shawn was hardworking and enjoyed reading, “puttering”, and spending time with his dogs and family.
Shawn is survived by his wife Donna of 37 years; his two daughters Shanna (Ben) Giguere and Ashleigh (Charlie) Giguere, his two sons Adam Giguere and Zachary Giguere; three grandchildren Rory, Aria, and Gabriel, step grandchild Kaitlin; brother Stephen Giguere; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation and memorial service with a reception afterwards will be held on Sunday, August 26th from 12:00 pm until 3:00 p.m. at Morris Funeral Chapel in Bowmanville.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and Diabetes Canada.
