CHASE, Donald Hugh - After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Donald Hugh Chase, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday August 20, 2018 at the Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket.
Don has reunited with his partner Liz and leaves behind his children Mike (Patti), Mark (Cathy), Lee (Paul), Bob, Sherri, Tina and Cindy.
He also leaves behind his grandchildren, great grandchildren and siblings Sharon (Clifford), Carol and Larry (Claudette (Dee). He has joined his parents Elmer, Grace and siblings Lynne and Gary.
Spending most of his life in Uxbridge, Don leaves behind a stamp of memories with everyone that knew him.
His absence at Parish Lanes and throughout Uxbridge will be noticed by many. He has a long list of friends that will miss him dearly.
We can't thank enough for all the help received during Dad's illness. The care from the nurses and doctors at Southlake Hospital was exceptional. The home care we received from SRT and CCAC, the PSW'S that came to help him and Margaret Bahen Hospice in the end was so appreciated.
He was treated with such respect and compassion. We will be forever grateful.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 12pm to 5pm at the Uxbridge Legion, 109 Franklin Street, Uxbridge.
In memory of Don, donations may be made to the Margaret Bahen Hospice.
