McVETY, Tyler Paul 'Chiggs' - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tyler Paul McVety, age 34, in Edmonton, Alberta on Monday, August 27, 2018.
Born in Lindsay, Ty was the son of Heather (White) and Paul McVety.
Brother of Megan (Rob) Johns and Ethan (Candace) McVety.
Proud grandson of Don (late Christine) White and Valetta (late Jack) McVety.
Survived by his nieces and nephews Libby, Gavin, Eric, Madeleine, Emma and Charlotte. Lovingly remembered by his Aunts, Uncles, cousins, family and friends.
Growing up Ty had a passion for outdoors, children, animals and for curling. Ty participated on many levels but was privileged to be on a mixed provincial team.
Ty loved building and working with his hands.
Ty's infectious smile and love for everyone is what he will be remembered by.
Visitation will be held at the DESTEFANO FUNERAL HOME, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport) 905-440-3595 on Friday, September 7th from 6:00 – 9:00pm, and Saturday, September 8th from 1:00 until 2:00 pm.
A Service to Celebrate Tyler’s life will be held in the DeStefano Chapel on Saturday at 2:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hearth Place Cancer Centre, the Charles H. Best Diabetes Centre, Wounded Warriors Memorial, or the John Howard Society.
