Bouchard RiaBOUCHARD, Ria - Born April 7th, 1930.  Died peacefully on Monday, September 3rd, 2018.

Pre-deceased by husband Jack, she will be truly missed by many people.

Her sister Patty Koski (Bob) and their daughters Tara and Allison.

Her children, daughter Lynn Birrell (Ron) and son Brad Bouchard (Nadia).

She will remain in warm memories for her grandchildren- Sean (Leanne), Connor (Adelle), Christopher, Gene and Lucy, as well as her great grandchildren Holden, Christian and Theo.

Ria was a great lover of life, a loving mother and wife, alive and full of humour.

Curling was a passion at which she excelled in her years in Montreal. Playing, teaching and coaching at Glenmore Curling Club gave her immense joy.

Anyone who knew her never forgot her.

Strong minded, she would never back down from a challenge. In retirement Ria and Jack found their new home in Wellington, Ontario. There, they found their paradise with a wonderful supportive and engaging community.

Little by little over the past ten years Dementia stole her from us: leaving simply a kind and gentle spirit who still loved dancing.

Sincere thanks to the wonderful staff of Hillsdale Estates in Oshawa for their patient and professional support and for making her final years as comfortable and happy as possible.

A memorial will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, ON (905-721-1234) on Saturday, September 29th from 2 – 4 p.m.
