THOMPSON, Douglas Ray - 1931-2018 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Doug Thompson, who lost his battle with cancer early on September 8, 2018 at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital.
A long time resident of Uxbridge, Doug was most recently living at the Douglas Crossing retirement home.
Loving husband of Helen Thompson (nee Smith) who pre-deceased him in 2015.
He will be deeply missed by his son Stephen (Donna), and daughters June (Ken) and Joanne (Eugene).
Proud and loving grandfather to Sarah, Rachael, Emma, Marieke and Jessica, and step-grandfather to Madison, Andrew and Phillip.
Doug will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 275 Lesmill Rd, Toronto on Saturday October 20, 2018 at 1pm with a reception to follow.
