SAVELLE, Edith Mabel - Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa on Saturday, September 15th, 2018; one day after her 92nd birthday.
Edith was most proud of her four sons as love of family came first, no matter what the boys got up to.
Her love of family continued with the arrival of six grandchildren and later, eleven great-grandchildren.
Equal was her devotion to her faith.
A long-time member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Whitby where she met many dear and close friends. If unable to attend Sunday Mass she could be found watching, “mass for shut-ins” and, of course, her daily rosary.
She cared for all, donating to many charities and causes and, of course, her crocheted dish cloths can be found in many family and friend’s kitchens. She is survived by sons Harry (Linda), Ted (Joan), Jim (Miyuki) and David; grandchildren Jamie, Adam, Matthew, Rob, Mike and Tara; great-grandchildren Juliette, Sydnee, Celina, Trent, Brie, Hayden, Genevieve, Elizabeth, Charlie, Fox and Archie, and brother Ted.
Predeceased by her husband Harry of 47 years, and brothers Will, Lorne and Jack and sisters Sybil and Estelle. Relatives and friends will be received at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa on Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 21st, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 903 Giffard St. (west of Cochrane St.; north of Hwy #2 West), Whitby.

Reception to follow in the parish hall. Interment will take place on Saturday, September 22nd at 12:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, 800 Victoria Street, London.
