McCALLUM, May - (August 5, 1933 - September 23, 2018)
With heavy hearts we share that May McCallum (neé Bitzkal) has passed away at the age of 85.
May will forever be remembered for her kind heart, loving spirit and profound devotion to her family.
Her gratitude, strength and positivity shone brightly throughout her life's joys and sorrows.
She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of 67 years, Bob.
She was the cherished mother of two daughters, Sandra (late) and Linda.
May was proud to call Erin (Blake), Drew (Lynsey), Kate, Sarah (Nicholas) and Taylor her grandchildren.
She was a devoted sister to Don (Barb) and dearest aunt to Morgan (Rich), Meredith (Chris), Chris (Joanna) and Angela (Gavin). May also took immense pleasure in being a great-aunt to Matthew, Sydney, Oliver, Isabella, Madeline, Henry and Andrew.
Smart as a whip, May was a wonderful, gentle soul who always showed compassion to family and friends and enjoyed welcoming them into her home for many a celebration.
A service and reception honouring May’s life will be held at the Low & Low Funeral Home, Port Perry, on Thursday, September 27th at 3pm with visitation from one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
