LANGLEY, Jacqueline Lorraine - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jacqueline Langley at Lakeridege Health Bowmanville on September 25th, 2018.
Jackie was 77.
Beloved daughter of the late Alice "Daisy" and Jack.
Devoted sister to Bill and his wife Eva and Paul and his wife Lori.
Jackie always loved being around her nieces and nephews Jeff (Lauren), Sarah (Chris) MacGregor, Darren (Emilie), Phyllis, Patrick, Allison and Elizabeth. She especially loved her great nieces and nephews. She had a lasting and strong connection to her many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She managed to look after herself after her dad passed away and developed friendships at the Oshawa Seniors Centre and later on, at Strathaven Nursing Home. Everyone will miss her greeting cards, long phone calls and her uncanny ability to produce bunka and cross stitch gifts.
Many thanks to the staff at Strathaven for their care and patience with Jackie. The compassionate care given by the critical care staff of Bowmanville Hospital was also greatly appreciated.
The family will receive friends at the MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 21 Garrard Rd Whitby (905-443-3373) on Monday October 1st from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
