WELTER, Theo - Passed away peacefully at his home in Newcastle on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018 at the age of 87.
Beloved husband of Josie for 60 years.
Loving father of Annette (Don), Theo (Paula), Jeff (Anita), Colleen (Jeff) and the late John.
Devoted grandpa of Amanda, Megan-Rose, Emma, Emily, Halley, Jessica, Corey, Zachary and the late Dane. Cherished great-grandpa of Noah, Bella and Memphis. Dear brother of Jeanne and predeceased by siblings Conrad, Anneke and Hetty.
Theo was a longtime volunteer of Boy Scouts of Canada and the Horticultural Society where he looked after the flowers and the Newcastle Town Hall for 12 years.
Visitation will be held at the Newcastle Funeral Home, on Sunday, September 30th from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be held at ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 214 King Ave. Newcastle (905-987-5446) on Monday, October 1st at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow.
Flowers are appreciated as he had a great love for flowers, however donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Newcastle Horticultural Society.
