STONE, Alice Jean (nee Cook) - Our loving matriarch passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, October 13th in her 98th year.
Beloved wife of the late Albert Charles Stone for over 71 years.
Loving sister to Margery McPherson, and predeceased by George and Charlie Cook.
Born on November 9th, 1920 to Leslie Cook and Margaret Osborne, of Millbridge, Ontario.
Cherished mother of the late Daniel (Jean), Edith LeBlanc (Emile), Shirley (predeceased by Tony), Jean Owens (predeceased by Bob), and Helen Scott (Darrell).
Alice will be sorely missed by her two foster children, nineteen (19) grandchildren, thirty (30) great grandchildren, and ten (10) great, great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at McEachnie Funeral Home Ajax, for visitations on Tuesday, October 16th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., and Wednesday, October 17th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held on Thursday, October 18th at 1 p.m. Procession and lunch will follow immediately after the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Canadian Arthritis Society.
