TOMPKINS, Raymond Howard “Ray” - Passed peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Monday October 22nd, 2018 at the age of 75 after a short battle with cancer.
Beloved husband to Doris for 55 years. Cherished dad to Shelly (Lynn Jones), and Rob (Dawn).
Much loved papa to Amanda (Jesse), John, Crystal, Chelsea, Courtney, Jamie, Jessica, Reece and Violet. Ray will be deeply missed, and remembered fondly by all of his friends and family.
He will also be missed by his cat Gizmo. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ray’s palliative care PSW Sarah and to the Bowmanville Hospital 2nd floor nursing staff for all of your care and compassion.
First visitation will be held at Newcastle Funeral Home, on Friday October 26th from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Second visitation will be held Saturday October 27th from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. Funeral service will take place Sunday October 28th at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Newtonville.
If so desired memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Salvation Army.
