Formerly of Georgetown, British Guiana (Guyana).
Predeceased by Joan Gloria de Barros, his beloved wife of 63 years.
Loving father of Phillip Andrew, Bruce, Conrad (Carol), Desiree (Patrick) and Elliott (Jamie). Brother-in-law to Flav (deceased), Mannie (deceased), Mickey (deceased), Celine, David, Jacqueline, Mary Ann and Paul da Silva. Dear grandfather to his eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A dedicated supporter of Guyana Christian Charities and Caribbean North Charities Foundation.
The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax, on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018 at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church (1148 Finch Avenue, Pickering).
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in memory of Desmond to Guyana Christian Charities, Caribbean North Charities Foundation, or a CHARITY of your choice.
