MIDDLETON, Joan Ethel Mary   -  March 22, 1924 – November 25, 2018

Passed away peacefully, at the age of 94.

Joan was born in London England; her parents were Thomas and Ethel (nee Karrieon) Claridge.

Her brothers were Ronald (Eileen) and John (Dorothy).

She was predeceased by her husband Captain Richard Lawrence Middleton. She will be sadly missed by her children: Maureen and Richard Jr. Middleton; her two grandchildren, Mark and Melissa Albert, and great grandsons Braedon, and Liam; her brother-in-law Ross McCartney (the late Doreen Middleton) her niece, Leslie McCartney (John Byrne), and her nephew Kevin McCartney. She will also be missed by her great Nephews: Shane Churchyard (Nam), Christopher McCartney (Jesskah) and Westley McCartney.

Great Nieces: Hannah Sisson (Matt), Chelsea Churchyard (Dave Fennell) and many great-great nieces and nephews. She dearly loved her nephews in England and all their families as she did her dear friend and care giver of many years, Sharon McCartney.

Joan enjoyed life. She loved a good laugh and a joke. She loved the Lord.

She enjoyed the art of conversation, reading, crocheting and most of all her friends and family. She was a founding member of the Bowmanville older Adults and she served on many committees. We all loved you, my fair lady.

Friends and family are invited to gather at Newcasstle Funeral Home, for a memorial visitation on Saturday December 1st from 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. Memorial service at 3:00.

If you would like to donate something in Joan’s memory, may we suggest the Bowmanville Older Adults.
