Perry BrianPERRY, Brian  - Brian passed away peacefully on December 3rd, 2018 in his 69th year, surrounded by his family, at Maxville Manor after a long journey through early-onset Alzheimer's disease.

He was the loving husband of Janie (McPherson), and dedicated dad to Shannon (Justin), Andrea (Greg) and Kathryn (Chris).

A happy and gentle grandpa towards Georgia, Andrew, Audrey and Nina. He was the son of the late Harold and Bernice Perry of Oshawa, and brother of Brenda (Tim Yuill) of Ashburn; brother-in-law of Bruce (Judy), Burns (Pam), Glen (Susan), Keith (Debbie), Ann Marie (David), Mary, Steven and Dan.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Brian was born and raised in Oshawa, and attended Durham College and the University of Guelph. Upon graduation, he started a long career with Bell Canada, and settled in Whitby.

He was a spirited Jays fan, an enthusiastic softball, ringette and hockey coach, and a talented athlete himself. He loved gardening and walking his little buddy, Eddie.

As his Alzheimer's progressed, he and Janie relocated to Alexandria, where he was well supported by the generous care of extended family and the community.

For the last several years, Brian was a resident of Maxville Manor, where he was so compassionately cared for by a skilled and dedicated team. As a family, we cannot thank you all enough.

A celebration of Brian’s life will take place at a later date in Alexandria.

If desired, the family would appreciate donations to Maxville Manor or the Alzheimer Society.
