McCOWAN, Wiliam David (Bill)  -  December 21, 1923 - December 28, 2018  WWII RCAF Veteran

Bill passed away peacefully at the Ajax Hospital.

He had reached his 95th birthday and was glad to have had Christmas at home with his family.

Loving husband of Nancy Christine Weir for 66 years and a caring and wonderful role model to his family.

Father of Bruce (Beatriz), Barbara Presunka (Richard) and Ruth Dobslaw (Rob).

Grandfather of Chris Presunka (Arghawan), Tanya Presunka (Chris Spencer), Alison Dobslaw and Sean Dobslaw. Great-grandfather of Zarin and Lia Presunka and Evie Spencer.

Bill was an employee of IBM and retired in 1981 with 30 years of service and remained an active retiree member.

He enjoyed working on his property in Pickering, curling, square dancing, lawn bowling and playing euchre with his friends.

Visitation at McEachnie Funeral Home in Pickering Village on January 11th, 7-9 p.m. and also visitation from 1-2 p.m. on January 12th at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church at 115 St. Andrew's Rd., Scarborough.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for an award established in Bill's memory at Danforth Collegiate and Technical Institute.
