It is with profound sadness that the family of Linda Victoria McLean Stevenson, much-loved wife, mother, sister, cousin, and dear friend to all, shares the news of her peaceful passing with her family by her side on Thursday January 17, 2019 in her 70th year, after a valiant stand against cancer.
Linda grew up in St. Eustache where she worked at Northern Electric Company and then married her “Elvis look-alike” before moving to Scarborough and eventually settling in Oshawa where she raised her family.
She is survived by her caring husband of 48 years, Bob and her devoted daughters Tracey (George) and Kim, and was so very proud of the women they have become. She will also be lovingly remembered by her cherished granddaughter Savanah and her great granddaughter Raelyn.
Linda will be missed beyond measure by her brothers and sisters; Allen (Johanne), Shirley (Harry), Bobby (Lynn), Pattie (Richard) and her many nieces and nephews; Chris, Steve, Matthew, Meghan, Derek, Jullian, Robin and David.
Predeceased by her parents Guy and Emmeline McLean.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Oshawa Cancer Centre and Paramed for their support and wonderful care.
A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 21 Garrard Road Whitby (905-443-3376) on Saturday February 16th, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Lakeridge Health Foundation - Cancer Centre in Linda’s memory would be appreciated.

“A woman who embraced life with a strong no-nonsense approach, boundless energy, was ferociously independent, brutally honest and kind, and always willing to help those she loved and cared about.
She could do just about anything and was relentless in her pursuit of adventure and engaged in many shenanigans filled with fun and laughter.
Nowhere was Linda happier than when visiting back home with her family in St. Eustache.”
