CRUCHLEY, Alan Ernest - Died peacefully at Providence Healthcare on December 24, 2018 at the age of 91.
Born in England to Ernest Alfred and Edith May (Woodland), Alan was predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years Eileen (Maitland) in February 2018.
Alan leaves behind his children Carol (Casey) and Ian (Debbie), his grandchildren Emily and Aaron, his nieces, their families and his close friends.
Alan earned a BSC, Engineering from the University of London and an MSC, Air Transport Engineering from the Cranfield Institute of Technology. He worked in research for the UK government before transferring to teaching and moving his family to Canada to accept a position at Ryerson University in 1966.
Alan was accorded the title of Professor Emeritus Aerospace Engineering upon retirement in 1993.
In accordance with his wishes, there was no funeral service.
