Watson LillianWATSON, Lillian  - Mom went peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2019, after a 6-year battle with Dementia; she was in her 87th year.

She is now reunited with her loving husband Bill and her much-loved sister Betty Burton.

She leaves behind her four sons, Mark (Karen), Michael, Jim, and Bill (Dawn Marie) to cherish her memory and marvel that they had such a wonderful Mom.

She was the cherished Nanny to Christine (Andrew), Joel, Geoffrey (Meghyn), Meghan, and great grandmother to Rhys.

Mom loved them all immensely and was enormously proud of the fine people they turned out to be.

Mom was born in 1932 in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. She was the daughter of Vincent and Mary McNeil.

She has 3 amazing sisters that she loved unconditionally. They knew her as “Sis”, Betty (Norm, both deceased), Joan (Trevor), and June (Jim, deceased).

She was the sister-in-law to Mary and Bill Stinson (both deceased).

She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Family was always the most important thing to Mom.

Thank you to the staff on the 3rd floor at Sunnycrest Nursing Home for their passionate care of Mom these last 4 years.

At mom’s request, there will be a private family celebration.

Mom had a tremendous love for her dogs and will be looking forward to seeing her beloved Spike again.

Any donations to the Durham Humane Society in her memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
