Lichaczewski PiotrLICHACZEWSKI, Piotr Paweł (Peter) Lichaczewski  -  (November 4, 1931 - March 1, 2019)

Peter Lichaczewski passed away peacefully on Friday March 1st, 2019 (age:87), surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband to Anna for 65 years.

Loving father to Susan (Bill), Lucy (Andrew), and Jack (Margaret).

Beloved Dziadio to Tessa, Greg (Amy), Jessica, Joshua, Nicholas, Amy (Andrew), Kevin, Megan, and Rachel.

Beloved Pradziadek to Owen.

He is predeceased by his parents Mikołaj and Anna, siblings Karola, Maryanna, Bronislawa, Jozef, Wladyslaw, Janina, Antonina.

Survived by sister Adela.

In 1962 Peter brought his family from Poland to Canada for a better life.   Peter was a member of the Polish Alliance (group 21) for 50 years, was a member of Knights of Columbus, and served dutifully as an usher at St. Hedwig’s Church.

Also, he was a retiree of General Motors. He will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be held at  ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King St. E, Oshawa on Wednesday March 6th from 2-4pm & 7-9pm.

Rosary prayers at 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Thursday March 7th at 10am at St. Hedwig’s Parish in Oshawa.

The family would like to thank the nurses at the Integrated Stroke Unit in Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their exceptional care.

Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
