KINGYENS, Yvonne Margaret - It is with immense sadness that we announce that Yvonne passed away suddenly at home in Whitby on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, in her 72nd year.

After some health issues over the past few years, she had been strong and doing well, just having gone on a lovely family vacation, and her passing was unexpected.

Born in Belleville, Yvonne grew up in Batawa and Trenton, with a few years of family life spent also in Montreal.

Yvonne was predeceased by her loving parents, Ron (Roland) and Jean Crevier. She married the love of her life and high school sweetheart Dennis in 1970, and together they had an incredible 41 years of marriage, living the majority of their life in Bowmanville.

She was devoted to her family and her daughter Jessica, and after Dennis passed away in 2011, she moved to Whitby to be closer to Jessica and her son-in-law Chris, and her grandsons Tait and Charlie. She loved her grandsons fiercely, and they her.

She was always there for her family, always willing to jump in and participate, always caring, and always so thoughtful and selfless. She and her daughter Jessica were extremely close, supporting each other. Tait and Charlie will miss all their special rituals with their Ma, especially their weekly sleepovers. This was cherished time for both Yvonne and her grandsons.

Yvonne was treasured by her brother Rick Crevier, and nieces Alicia and Tanya, who often traveled and visited from Alberta. She will be greatly missed by her sister-in-law Sharon Crevier.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Two charities close to Yvonne’s heart were the Sick Kids Foundation and Humane Society of Durham Region. Should you wish to make a donation in her memory please visit: http://my.sickkidsdonations.com/YvonneKingyens OR http://www.hsdr.org/donations.
