DEMALINE, John Thomas Demaline - (January 2, 1939 - March 22, 2019) -

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John T. Demaline on Friday, March 22nd, 2019 at the age of 80.

John met his soulmate Darlene when they were just teenagers and they spent the last 57 years being happily married. He died very peacefully with her by his side holding his hand.

John was a fantastic and loving father to Tracey, Elizabeth (Joe), Katherine, and Alison (Scott).

He absolutely loved his grandkids - Marisa, Katie Anne, Meagan, Riley, Sarah, Carrie, Jillian and Keaton - and would talk about them to everyone.

He also had two great-grandchildren Nathan and James. John will also be missed dearly by his younger brother Warren (Margaret), as well as John’s sister-in-law, Terry King.

John grew up in Hamilton, spent many years in Burlington before finally settling in Pickering. He spent his career working as a Jeweller.

John spent his life being an avid golfer so naturally, his perfect retirement was spent on the golf course most days. If he wasn’t playing, he was marshaling. He will be missed by his friends at Annandale Golf Club.

John always loved to tell a good joke. He’s probably up in Heaven with his brothers Jimmy and Charlie right now making them laugh!

We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa. Their care and compassion during John’s battle with cancer was unsurpassed.

Please join us as we celebrate John’s life at McEachnie Family Centre, Ajax, Ontario on Tuesday March 26th from 12 - 2pm.
