Manen JohnVan MANEN, John Willem - After a lengthy battle with cancer, surrounded by his family, the Lord called home our much loved husband and father John Willem van Manen. He was 71 years old.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Theresa, his children Timothy van Manen, Kimberly and Adam DeVries, and Jamie van Manen, and his five grandchildren.

Brother of Ina Jeeninga, George Vink, Peter van Manen, Sadie van Manen, Mary and Lammert Huizinga, and Ted van Manen.

Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents, Teunis and Tietje van Manen, and his siblings Evelyn Vink, Wilma and Teade DeVries, Otto Jenninga, and Hans van Manen.

Visitation will be held at the DESTEFANO FUNERAL HOME, 1289 Keith Ross Dr., Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road, by the Oshawa Airport) (905) 440-3595 on Friday, March 29th from 4:00-7:00pm.

Following a private family interment on Saturday, March 30th, a Memorial Service will be held at Zion Christian Reformed Church, 409 Adelaide Ave. E., Oshawa on Saturday at 11:30am.

In memory of John, memorial donations to Citizens for Public Justice would be appreciated.
