Junker RudolfJUNKER, Rudolf  - July 10th, 1930 - April 25th, 2019

Peacefully passed on Thursday April 25th, 2019, in his 89th year.

Rudi came to Canada in 1956 from Germany looking to fulfill a dream.

This is where he met the love of his life, Eva (predeceased in 2004).

They married in 1957, built a beautiful home together in Whitby where they raised their three children.

He was a long time (retired) employee of General Motors in Oshawa.

Rudi’s biggest passion was working on his farm where he grew strawberries for more than 50 years.

The Junker Family Farm is a staple in the community. Most of all, Rudi's pride and joy was his family.

He will be sadly missed by his three children; son Michael and his wife Frances, daughters Angela and her husband Derek, Janet and her husband Sly. His grandchildren Rachel, Jamie, Samantha, Kyle, Eric and Colin will miss their Opa.  He will also be greatly missed by his companion Leisel Nettermann, and his sister Resi Junker of Trier, Germany.

Visitation at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby on Tuesday April 30th, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the Barnes Chapel Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m.

In memory of Rudolf memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Rudolf will be laid to rest beside his wife at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
