Williams EdithWILLIAMS, Edith Irene - (May 4, 1935 - July 3, 2019) -

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Irene, in her 85th year.

Beloved wife of Bill for 61 years (predeceased).

Cherished mother of Randy (Kim), Bonnie (Drew), Steve (Linda) and Jeff (Kari).

Dearly missed by her grandchildren, Judy (Jason), Jennafer (Jeremy), Vicki (Dave), Derek (Mallory), Dan (Sarah), Amber (Jon), Tanner and Rickilee. Proud and loving Nana 2 of Landon, Emmalyn, Brayden, Carter, Rachel, Harlee, Cooper and William.

Dear sister of Shirley and Evelyn.  Dear sister in law to Mary and Don Mitchell. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews. Greatly missed by her dear friend Lynn.

Past volunteer worker for meals on wheels. Irene enjoyed crafts, sewing, quilting, baking, travelling with Bill on their 5th wheel adventures and always being surrounded by family and friends.

A heartfelt thank you to her friends at Beacon Arms, Lakeridge Health Oshawa and Sunnybrook for the exceptional care and compassion shown to mom and her family at this difficult time.

As per Irene’s wishes, there will be no funeral. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.

Donations in memory of Irene can be made to the Parkinson’s foundation, Heart & Stroke or the Durham Humane Society and would be greatly appreciated.

Online condolences can be made at  mountlawn.ca.
