SUTHERLAND, Vera June - It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Vera June Sutherland at Lakeridge Health - Bowmanville on July 6th, 2019.
She had recently celebrated her 95th birthday.
June was predeceased by her husband, Ross, her son Larry (May 2019) and her siblings Viola, Ruby, Alma and Fred.
Loving mother of daughter Gail O’Donnell and son Lloyd.
Sadly missed by her daughter-in-law, Pauline, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews.
June will be fondly remembered for her years of devoted service to her church, leading church Bible studies, years of visitation at local nursing homes, as well her loving relationships with friends and extended family.
Friends may visit at the Courtice Funeral Chapel, on Thursday July 11th from 6-8 p.m. as well as Friday July 12th at Carriage Country Baptist Church, 4830 Trulls Road, Courtice from 10:15 a.m. until time of celebration of June’s life at 11a.m. Interment, Thornton Cemetery.
