HURLEY, Steven - It is with deep heartache that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Steve in his 63rd year, on Monday, July 8th, 2019 with family by his side.
Steven Douglas Hurley was born and raised in Verdun, Montreal, Quebec, which remained near and dear to his heart.
Son to Douglas Hurley and Dorothy McCrea, both of Montreal. He is survived by his three brothers, David, Chris (Linda Johnstone), Douglas Jr., his wife Carolyn (nee Gauthier), daughter Sarah Jones (Don Jones), son Derek, and many extended family members and friends.
Steve had remarkable determination and devotion that never wavered for his family, friends, health & fitness, sport of all nature, and last but definitely not least, his Detroit Red Wings.
He had tremendous work ethic and was a natural leader. Steve never shied away from an opportunity to share his fun-loving nature and sense of humour. He was a kind, gentle and wonderful man whose legacy of love and laughter will live forever in our hearts. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
