MacCARL, Doreen Ida (née Hutcheson) - Lifelong Whitby resident Doreen MacCarl, wife of Ralph (d. 1996) passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 2, 2019.
Much beloved mother to Kim, Kent and his wife Barb, adored grandmother to Morgan and Brady and cherished sister to William (Corney) Hutcheson and her younger sister Carol McAllister who passed in 2015.
Remembered by her three nephews Regan, Warren and Greg.
She was a special friend to Stephanie and Gabrielle.
Doreen and Ralph operated MacCarl Hardware, a family business at the four corners of Whitby which began with Ralph’s father Walter around 1920. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her love of life, crazy funny sense of humour, graciousness and love.
A very small Celebration of Life was held on Sat. July 6, 2019.
