DRAKE, Harold Edward - It is with great sorrow and sadness that the family of Harold Drake wish to announce his passing on Saturday July 13, 2019 in his 79th year at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Harold was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife of 39 years, Arlene.
Harold’s memory will be forever cherished by his three daughters Kerri, Lori (the late Troy) and Cheryl (James), his prides and joy, his grandsons, Jamie and Connor and his cocker spaniel, Khloe, who has been a loving companion.
Harold and his family would like to thank Dawn & Debbie, his loving, caring & dependable PSWs who enabled Harold to stay at home as long as he did and became very good friends to him.
We would like to thank Bob Carter for the weekly visits which were a bright spot during a very difficult time. The nephrology department and dialysis unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa became a second home to Harold for the past eight years.
We would like to thank the many doctors and nurses in nephrology and Critical Care who helped to make his stay more bearable and gave him the best care possible. We would also like to thank Dr. Peter Noble and Dr. Kevin Graham for the excellent care and many home visits.
Visitation will be held at the Oshawa Funeral Home, one hour prior to the service on Wednesday July 17, 2019 from 12:00 – 1:00pm. A Service to Celebrate Harold’s life will be held at 1:00pm. Interment Thornton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lakeridge Health Foundation - Nephrology department.
