HAZZARD, Charles Jeffery  - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Charles Jeffrey Hazzard, in his 96th year.

Charles was a loving husband to Marion (Palmer) Hazzard (pre-deceased), loving father to his 4 children, Loretta Lee, Maureen Willis, Elaine Hazzard, and Kenneth Hazzard. Loving grandfather to his 7 grandchildren Ryan Lee, Jason Lee (predeceased), Ray Cochrane, Sheila Willis, Crystal Robinson, Jessica Hazzard and Monica Hazzard and his 6 great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Makie, Zack, Aria, Aleea and Ava.

Charles was born in November 1923 and was the youngest of 8 children. He and his family lived on a farm in Silver Water, Manitoulin Island.

Papa will be sadly missed by many.

Charles was laid to rest with his wife Marion, on August 10th at the Bowmanville Cemetery with family in attendance.

Family would like to thank the 2nd floor staff at Sunnybrook Veterans Center, Scarborough for making his journey a peaceful and happy one.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends on Sunday, September 22nd from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Bowmanville Legion on King Street.

Memorial donations to the Sunnybrook Veterans Center would be appreciated.

-Weary - God saw you getting weary. He did what He thought was best, He put his arms around you And said, Come and rest. He opened up His golden gates On that heartbreaking day, And with His arms around you, You gently slipped away. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone.  A part of us went with you, The day God called you home.
