HOWLETT, Marilyn (nee Plumpton) Howlett   - Born on March 30, 1938 in Rouyn - Noranda, Quebec to Gerald and Aileen Plumpton.

Gerald, Aileen, Marilyn and her brother John settled in Toronto where she grew up in what is now the trendy Queen St E., neighbourhood of Leslieville.

During her teens Marilyn attended high school at Riverdale Collegiate, RH King and Winston Churchill.

She met Jack Howlett at Queen East Presbyterian and the two eventually married in 1957.

The young couple bought their first home in Scarborough where children Cindy and Steve were born.

Once the kids were in school, Marilyn went out into the workforce where she worked for the publishing company McGraw Hill Ryerson for over 25 years.

Marilyn was a passionate supporter of the children and youth programs at Grace Presbyterian Church where she and Jack were active church members. Marilyn taught Sunday School for over 60 years at Grace and at other churches, and never missed a VBS summer program: one thing was clear, Marilyn loved nurturing and working with children!

She will be greatly missed by her family especially her grandchildren Aaron, Jamie, Rebecca, Jackson and Harrison and great grandson Emmett, for whom her love was limitless.
