SCANGA, Giuseppe 'Joe' - It is with great sadness and sorrow to announce the passing of Giuseppe (Joe) Scanga at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, in his 88th year.
Beloved husband of Angela for 57 years.
Loving father of Bruno (Shelley Craig), Ida (George Somerville), Giovanni and Pina.
Cherished Nonno of Alexandria, Ashley, Nicholas, Sarah, and Michael.
Dear brother of Carmela, Theresa and Tony, and the late Antonio, Angela, Guerino, Luca, and Frank.
He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Dialysis Unit for their care and kindness.
Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME , 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, August 23rd from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH (214 Simcoe St. N., Oshawa) on Saturday, August 24th at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Lakeridge Health Oshawa Dialysis Unit.
