FRICKER, David Peter JohnAfter fighting with heart disease for almost 20 years, Dave passed away on the morning of August 21, 2019 in his home in Wainfleet.

Dave was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

His main interests in life were motorcycles, hot-rods, racing and spending time outdoors. He could always be counted on to help anyone with anything, from fixing a bicycle chain to building a motorcycle from the ground up.

Dave loved being with his family, he would often say he never needed any gifts just time with them, he was surrounded by people that loved him. He was a wonderful father to Glen and Julie and always put them before himself, even as they grew older and started families of their own. 

His wife Yvonne was his best friend and partner and his love for her was eternal. He died 3 weeks before their 50th wedding anniversary.

After Dave and Yvonne moved to their current home in Wainfleet, he was immediately at peace and had found his happy place. he would spend hours cutting the grass or simply sitting and enjoying the 3 acres of land he owned. He once told Yvonne he had no regrets and had a full and perfect life.

Dave will be remembered and forever missed. Family and friends of his can say they were lucky to have known him and share a piece of his journey with him.

The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax on Monday, August 26th from 7 to 9 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27th. Cremation to follow.
