BELL, Catherine 'Cathy' - Peacefully, surrounded by her family at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, August 21st 2019, at the age of 67.
Beloved wife of James (Jim) Bell for 49 wonderful years and together for 52 years.
Loving mother of Jason (Laurie) Bell, Trevor (Anna) Bell, Michael (Elizabeth) Bell.
Beloved Grandma (or Gega to some) of Brianna, Fiona, Alora, James, Jaidyn, Evangeline and Victoria.
Sister of Bette, Susan, the late Diane, Judy and the late Edward. Sister in law of the late Gaynor, Sylvia, Edith, Joan, Tom, Patricia and Cyndi. Cathy will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Cathy loved her trips to Florida and living on the river. She loved to test her luck at the casinos and the only thing she loved as much as her husband Jim were her grandchildren.
She had a beautiful life filled with laughter and love, she left an indelible mark on her sons and grandchildren and anyone she met. She successfully navigated the teenage years of three rambunctious (and often destructive) boys, which more than anything shows her strength as a woman. She was so deeply good that few could ever hope to match her for honesty and sincerity.
More than anything she was one soul with her husband Jim, a love that a world aspires to and for which was demonstrated always.
She will be missed deeply, where she is headed, has just become a better place.
A celebration of Cathy’s beautiful life will be held at the DESTEFANO FUNERAL HOME, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport) 905-440-3595 on Saturday, August 31st from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
