Riccio EgidioRICCIO, Egidio 'Gino' - (May 17, 1951 - September 6, 2019)

It is with a heavy heart we let you all know that on Friday, September 6th, 2019, we lost a very great man, Egidio (aka Gino) Riccio, age 68 years.

It was sudden and unexpected.

For those who didn't know him well, he was a proud, strong, confident, caring, passionate and stubborn man.

He walked like he was on top of the world. Didn't care what people thought and didn't let things stand in his way. He always knew what he wanted and did whatever it took to get it.

He was a great provider, husband (46 Years 09/01/1973) to my mom Stella and a great father to Emilio (Susie) and Michelina Villamere (Bryan), adored Nonno to Kaleigh, Coralynn, Andrea and Lucas, beloved brother of Nicolino (Anna).

Gino was predeceased by his parents Emilio and Michelina as well as five brothers and sisters in Italy, brothers in law Larry Volpe (Rose), John Volpe (Rita), Tony Volpe (Sharane), He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends in Canada, Italy and the United States.

Gino had many careers including Chrysler, Tony’s Pizza, Tony’s Restaurant and Catering, Tony’s Night Spot, Custom Racks, IPDS and finally he was a proud employee and mentor of APPCO Paving. He gave everything he had and gave it with love, passion and pride. He will be greatly missed.

Please keep him in your prayers and in your thoughts as we prepare to give our last goodbyes as he moves on to live an eternal life with God. We're going to miss you.

Please join his family on Thursday, September 12th from 2 to 4 pm & 6 to 8 pm at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday September 13th at 11am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 124 Liberty Street South, Bowmanville with Entombment to follow at Resurrection Mausoleum.

Memorial donations in memory of Gino to the Industrial Accident Victims of Ontario or Bowmanville Older Adult Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
