Wannamaker DonaldWANNAMAKER, Donald Roy  - August 5th, 1929- September 11th, 2019 Don passed away peacefully with family at his side at Lakeridge Heath, in Oshawa, at the age of 90. Don was predeceased by his cherished first wife of 47 years, Eula Johnston.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 20 years, June Brough.

Dear Brother to Earl Wannamaker of Belleville and Brother-in-law to Dawn Trotter of Peterborough. 

Dear father of Elaine (Allan) Sutton of Seba Beach AB, Charles (MaryJo) of Madoc, Dave (Marilyn) of Calgary and Stepfather of Ted (Laurie) of Oshawa, Heather (Dan) Skelton of Cambridge, and Brian (Kelly) of Oshawa. 

Don was predeceased by his special 4 legged friend "Mr. W". Loving Grandfather of Shannon (Jeremy), Ryan, Andrew (Chynna), Sarah (John-Paul), Tricia (Ian), Micheal (Sahanna), Kendra, Erin and Step-Grandfather to Mark (Jena), Stacy (Steve), Sara, Nicole, Brianna, Ryan, and Kristen. Great-Grandfather to Carver, Jordan, Asher, Keegan, Holden, Ronan, Griffin, and Step Great-Grandfather to Amelia, Bennett, Emileah, Owen, Kyla, Kalib, Khloe, Blake, and honourary Great-Grandfather of Benjamin.

Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Don was a long-time member of Trinity United Church, Madoc and Christ Memorial Anglican Church, Oshawa. He enjoyed his time volunteering with both churches and at Lakeridge Health Auxiliary.

He was a lifelong farmer, learning from his father and raising his children and grandchildren to love Madoc Twp. He operated a dairy farm with his son Charles prior to retiring at the age of 70. Don became a mechanical millwright and worked at Bethlehem Steel in Marmara for over 25 years. He was also a Madoc Twp Councillor for almost 10 years. 

For the last 20 years, he has enjoyed travelling the world with June and spending many summers at their places in Bobcaygeon and Wilberforce. He loved his swims at the YMCA and his skiing adventures with his dear friends.  

A special thank you to Dr. Graham and the Lakeridge Community Health Care Team.

A celebration of life takes place on Wednesday, September 18th at Christ Memorial Anglican Church, 81 Hillcroft Street, Oshawa, at 12 noon. Interment to take place at a later date.
